The Autonomous underscores its independence and ongoing commitment to safety, collaboration, and innovation in autonomous mobility following NXP’s agreement to acquire TTTech Auto.
Since its launch by TTTech Auto in 2019, The Autonomous has evolved into a globally recognized open platform. It brings together a diverse range of key stakeholders and contributors, including car manufacturers, technology suppliers, semiconductor companies, regulators, academia, government institutions, and high-growth startups.
In light of NXP’s recent announcement regarding its definitive agreement to acquire TTTech Auto, we want to reaffirm that The Autonomous remains fully committed to its mission: facilitating collaboration to address safety challenges in the autonomous mobility and robotics industries as an independent and neutral initiative.
The initiative will continue without interruption, including its core components:
- The Autonomous Main Event (under the Event Stream)
- The Innovation Stream, with its Working Group and Expert Circles
The change in ownership does not affect the strong foundation or the ongoing progress of The Autonomous. Both NXP and TTTech Auto share the belief that safety in autonomous mobility is a shared responsibility. They are committed to upholding the initiative’s independence, openness, and collaborative spirit. This ensures the continued growth of an ecosystem capable of addressing technological challenges, fostering innovation, and accelerating advancements in mobility and autonomous technology solutions.
To support this, a robust set of guidelines and compliance measures will be implemented to maintain a protected, fair, and open environment for all ecosystem partners, including other SoC suppliers. These measures are designed to safeguard cross-industry collaboration and uphold the integrity of the initiative.
Preparations for The Autonomous Main Event in September 2025 are already in full swing. Chairman Ricky Hudi, the management, and the entire team are fully committed to delivering another impactful and successful industry event.
“I am very pleased to continue supporting The Autonomous initiative in my role as chairman. We will carry on with our mission to support and foster collaboration among key stakeholders. Safety in autonomous mobility, as well as safety in SDVs, is not an area to compete or compromise. Safety is about getting it right!”
— Ricky Hudi, Chairman of The Autonomous
Upon regulatory approval and closing of the transaction, The Autonomous core team, NXP, and our valued ecosystem partners will jointly further develop the initiative to strengthen its position as an open, neutral, and independent community.
We are excited about the road ahead and look forward to continued collaboration, trust, and innovation with our loyal partners—and to welcoming new members into our growing community.
